Brian J. West serves as Chief Financial Officer for The Nielsen Company.  He was appointed to this role in February 2007. 

Brian came to Nielsen after 16 years at General Electric (GE).  He began his GE career at GE Plastics as part of the Financial Management Program (FMP) in 1991.  During his tenure at GE, Brian held a number of finance roles with increasing responsibility, including CFO of NBC’s TV Stations Division, CFO of GE Engine Services, and Chief Financial Officer – GE Aviation, a $12 billion global business.

Brian holds a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University. He is a 1991 graduate from Siena College, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Finance.
