The Nielsen Company recognizes that benefits programs play a vital role in ensuring the health and financial security of our employees and their dependents. We offer a 100% company paid premium plan for full-time and eligible part-time employees (co-payment for part-time employees) designed to protect you and your dependents against expenses for a number of hospital and medical services not covered by your Provincial Medicare Plan. Part time eligibility is contingent upon working a minimum of 1,170 hours in a calendar year and work a regularly scheduled work week of at least 22.5 hours a week, the coverage is effective January 1st of the next calendar year.
Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision Coverage: Coverage is available for full-time and eligible part-time employees and their qualified dependents, including domestic partners and their children.
Life and Group Accident Insurance: We provide life and group accident insurance. Employees can also enroll themselves and eligible dependents in supplemental life insurance and group accident insurance.
Short-term Disability Benefits: We also provide short-term disability benefits and long-term disability coverage for full-time employees.
Nielsen provides employees with paid time away from work. The amount of time off available each calendar year (January 1 through December 31) varies with length of service.
We provide a Defined Contribution Plan with a 100% company match. Employees are eligible to enroll after one year of employment (eligibility requirements may vary by province and employment status) and can contribute up to 6% of pay.
