Nielsen has been named No. 41 on the DiversityInc Top 50, a distinguished list that ranks public and private companies on their commitment to workplace diversity. Nielsen was chosen out of more than 1,600 companies for our emphasis on talent development, disciplined approach to improving diversity initiatives and metrics, and high participation levels for employee resource groups. Nielsen was ranked No. 22 in CEO Magazine's 2015 Best Companies for Leaders. Each year since 2005, Chief Executive magazine awards those companies that excel in leadership development. The award is based on a questionnaire and interviews by a third party to learn what they company is doing to identify and nurture people three or more levels down the chain from the CEO. Rankings are affected by a company's reputation among its peers as a source for well-rounded talent. The percent of senior management recruited from internal talent pools is another criterion.
