For the second year, Nielsen conducted the Mainland Traveler Finance Monitor to track mainland travelers' financial preferences and their purchase of savings and investment products. The survey included respondents from four mainland cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and provides detailed insights into the attitudes and financial product investments that are being made by the mainland travelers on their visits to Hong Kong.
The survey shows that 95 percent of mainland investors will consider additional purchases in the next 12 months.
As to why financial products being sold in Hong Kong appealed to mainland investors, two of the top five reasons cited were a wide array of product choices (32%) and strong customer service (26%).
