Kartik Sharma is the Managing Director of Maxus, South Asia, the “most dominant” media agency (in India) fifth year in a row as per independent media audit agency RECMA.
Kartik started his career in 1992 working with Ogilvy in their client servicing department and later went on to do his MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. On completing his MBA in 1995, Kartik began his career with HTA as a media planner on the Unilever business. He moved to Lintas as Channel Planning Director in 1997 where he continued to work on several Unilever brands, in addition to handling clients like Bajaj Auto and Raymonds.
In 2000, Kartik joined Mindshare where he was Planning Director. In 2003, he shifted to Madison to head their research and analytics division. In 2007, Kartik joined Maxus to head the western region operations based out of Mumbai. He has been instrumental in the success of the agency and worked across key clients including Vodafone, L’Oreal, Tata Sky and IPL.
Kartik is a strong leader with reputation for building excellent client relationships and highly motivated media teams. He is a result-oriented achiever with a proven track record of handling some prestigious brands. His specialties include communication planning, behavioral economics, media research, analytics and technology.
