New York, NY and Haarlem, the Netherlands– March 5, 2007 – Mitchell J. Habib has been named Executive Vice President, Global Business Services, The Nielsen Company. The announcement was made today by David L. Calhoun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Nielsen Company, to whom Habib will report.
In this newly created position, Habib, 46, will have worldwide responsibility for all operational and information technology functions at Nielsen. This includes systems that support information development and delivery to Nielsen’s global client base as well as applications, IT infrastructure and facilities associated with day-to-day operations of the company.
Previously, Habib served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Citigroup’s North America Consumer Businesses and, before that, as CIO for Citigroup’s North America Credit Cards Division. Before joining Citigroup, Habib served as Chief Information Officer for several major divisions at General Electric -- Director of Global Maintenance Technologies at Ryder and Director of Sales Administration, Distribution and Information Technology at pharmaceutical company Goldline Labs.
