Investments in the Region

Nielsen has invested heavily in the local area – creating jobs, generating tax revenues, supporting worthy causes and driving economic growth.

Nielsen is the largest employer in Oldsmar.  Over the last seven years alone, the company has:

• Invested nearly $130 million in building our new Center in Oldsmar
• Created more than 340 new high-wage jobs, each paying more than 150% of the local average wage
• Paid $11.5 million in real estate and personal property taxes

Nielsen’s presence in Oldsmar also helped jumpstart that city’s tremendous economic expansion.  This expansion has brought new business headquarters as well as new restaurants, hotels and shops.  It also led to a significant rise in local tax revenues and has created additional jobs throughout the region.
