Hassan El-Khatib Sean Finnegan Before joining SMG, Finnegan was chief marketing officer of Vibrant Media, a worldwide video advertising network. Prior to joining Vibrant Media, Finnegan was the chief executive officer of OMG Digital, a unit of Omnicom Media Group. Finnegan is committed to mentorship and as such, he has spoken at several recent conferences such as India’s GoaFest, Cannes Advertising Festival, Advertising Week and the AAF National Conference. Marco Francesco Mazzù
Marco Francesco Mazzù is a Partner of the Mediterranean (Med) Office of McKinsey & Company, Inc.
He joined the Firm in March 1999 as Business Analyst and focused his professional activity mainly in Marketing, Sales and Retail. Marco served clients in more than 15 countries and in multiple industries, ranging from Electricity to Automotive, from Basic Materials to Packaged Goods, from Infrastructure to Tourism, Petroleum, and - more recently – he contributed to the opening of the new McKinsey Cairo office.
On top of Marketing & Sales, Marco’s main area of interest, he also served clients in the areas of Strategy, Organization, Operations, Performance Improvement and Business Development.
Marco is currently the co-leader of the McKinsey EMEA Branding and Marketing ROI service line; he is also the co-leader of the McKinsey Med Office Marketing & Sales Practice, and the Global Dean of the McKinsey Marketing College for Project Managers.
Marco has published several marketing articles in the Italian press and is the co-author of many industry-specific McKinsey pamphlets.
Marco graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering at Rome “La Sapienza” University, and has a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France).
Prior to joining McKinsey, Marco worked at Procter & Gamble in the Marketing department.
Toni Petra
After graduating from Rhodes University (Grahamstown, South Africa) and working in the personnel services industry for two years, Toni joined IBIS (now Nielsen South Africa) as an Account Executive. In 1994, she joined the AGB Group, first in Milan, Italy and then as Managing Director of AGB Anadolu (Istanbul, Turkey). Moving on to be the Operations Director of AGB Media Services, the corporate support centre of the AGB Group (Stans, Switzerland), responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the proprietary technology and production tools of the Group; and for the internal auditing of Group companies. In 2000, she was appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer at AGB Holdings, specifically responsible for the set-up of ATR UK then transferred to ATR Australia, now AGB Nielsen Media Research, as Chief Executive Officer and Regional Director, Pacific & Africa.
Toni and her family relocated back to Switzerland in January 2008, where she is Managing Director of AGB Nielsen Media Research’s Corporate Support Centre.
Dr. A.K. Pradeep
Dr. Pradeep founded NeuroFocus in 2006. Now the company ranks as the world leader in the fast-growing neuromarketing research field, with numerous patents for its advanced technologies and a blue-chip client list representing the top companies in many Fortune 100 categories.
Before founding NeuroFocus, Dr. Pradeep was the founder and Managing Partner of Meridian Consulting, LLC a privately held California company specializing in governance consulting, and customizing and applying GE best practices to multiple industry sectors. He is also the founder of BoardVantage, a company formed in 2000 to provide web based corporate governance platforms for corporate boards of directors.
Prior to founding Meridian, Dr. Pradeep was at GE Corporate Research and Development where he worked extensively with the various global businesses of GE. While a scientist at GE, Dr. Pradeep worked on medical technologies, satellite navigation systems, and other classified technologies.
Dr. Pradeep holds many U.S. and international patents and has been published in numerous scientific journals. He is a speaker and panelist at numerous seminars and lectures on neuromarketing, as well as corporate issues of strategy and marketing, and is the author of “Governance Beyond Sarbanes Oxley – Five Easy Pieces”, a guidebook for board members and senior corporate executives.
Dr. Pradeep holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Hussam Abdul Qader
Hussam Abdul Qader is the General Manager Marketing and Group Executive member of Almarai Company. He is responsible for the strategic brand management and portfolio development of this leading Food and Beverage Company in the GCC and the largest vertically integrated dairy company in the world. Hussam is an experienced FMCG professional having worked on both the research and client side of the business over the past 13 years. A former Nielsen employee, Hussam has worked his way up and around the region with postings in Amman, Beirut, Dubai and Riyadh. His leadership over the past 6 years helped in turning Almarai from a regional dairy company into the leading food and beverage company with market leadership positions across the majority of categories the company competes in. Hussam completed his studies in Amman Private University, Jordan and the University of Kansas, USA.. He is a family man who loves outdoors, automotive, riding horses and cultural experiences.
Ed Sanders
Ed Sanders is the lead Product Marketing Manager for YouTube in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, responsible for consumer and partner marketing for the brand in these regions. He joined Google in 2007, and works closely with rights holders, content partners, NGOs and institutions in using YouTube and other Google products to help drive their respective businesses. A former media and M&A lawyer, he worked in sport & entertainment marketing in Sydney, Beijing and London and founded a digital and linear entertainment rights business in the Pacific Rim, working with clients like Warner Bros, the International Olympic Committee, the International Rugby Board and the Chinese Ministry of Culture. He has an MBA from INSEAD and honours degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is a rugby-loving Francophile whose favourite room in the house is the kitchen. He has a vibrant passion for the arts, in particular for theatre, film and music; writing, recording and performing his own songs, usually while cooking.
Jan Wuppermann
Jan Wuppermann was appointed the Strategy Director of Vodafone Egypt in January 2008. Prior to this appointment, Jan was Head of Strategy in Vodafone Netherlands from Apr. 2006 to Jan. 2008.
Jan joined Vodafone Germany in Jan 2003, where he held a number of senior roles- including Head of Products, Senior Financial Analyst Corporate Governance, Senior Manager Strategy & Business Planning - before coming to Egypt.
Jan's educational background is in Business Administration and corporate management including Finance Controlling, Marketing, Production, HR, and Strategy.
Jan began his career as a Consultant at Roland Berger & Partner International Management Consultants. 2 years later he became Member of the Board of Directors Gambas Entertainment AG. Jan is married to Gina and has one daughter Astraea.
