Arturo García Castro is President, Latin America for Nielsen. Appointed in December 2004, Arturo is responsible for overall management, business performance and strategy for Latin America operations, which include Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Central America, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.

Previously, Arturo served as Country Manager, ACNielsen Brazil. Before that, he was Regional Manager, ACNielsen Mexico, where he was responsible for developing the Central American and Puerto Rican business. Arturo joined ACNielsen in 1990, where he oversaw the Field Operations and Statistics departments.

Prior to ACNielsen, Arturo served as a National Census Director for INEGI Mexico (Official General Bureau of Statistics). Earlier in his career, Arturo served as Data Processing General Manager for Productos Pesqueros Mexicanos, a public-sector company dedicated to the commercialization of marine and fishing industry products.

Arturo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science and studied for a Master's degree in Statistics and Operational Research from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico. He also participated in a Survey Sampling Program conducted by the University of Michigan.
