President, Entertainment & Automotive
Ken Orkin is President, Entertainment & Automotive. Appointed to this role in January 2011, Ken leads Nielsen's global entertainment and automotive businesses, which include products such as Nielsen NRG, Nielsen IAG Entertainment, Nielsen Entertainment Television, Nielsen Soundscan, Nielsen Bookscan, Nielsen VideoScan, Nielsen Performance Monitoring, Book UK and the Global Automotive business.
Previously, Ken was co-CEO of Nielsen IAG and Nielsen Advertiser Solutions, businesses of Nielsen dedicated to measuring program engagement and advertising effectiveness.
Ken joined Nielsen in 2008 upon its acquisition of IAG Research. He founded IAG in 2000, and as co-CEO, built the company into the leading provider of engagement metrics in the television industry. He has more than 20 years experience as an entrepreneur and executive in media/marketing, technology and finance and remains an advisor/investor in a number of technology related start ups. Earlier in his career, Ken worked as an executive in the entertainment industry and an investment banker in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.
Ken is a Coro Foundation Public Affairs Fellow and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Brown University.
