On May 6, 2013, Onex Corporation announced that it has agreed to acquire Nielsen Expositions from its parent, an affiliate of Nielsen Holdings N.V. for $950 million in cash consideration. The transaction closed on June 17, 2013 and the company was renamed Emerald Expositions, Inc. (“Emerald Expositions”).
