Chief Strategy Officer
Mark Leiter serves as Chief Strategy Officer of Nielsen. During his tenure with Nielsen, Mark has provided global leadership for practices, products, services and solutions while playing a central role in designing Nielsen’s worldwide growth and go-to-market strategies.
Most recently, Mark served as Executive Vice President on Nielsen’s corporate leadership team and prior to that was President, Global Practices & Consulting Services and Chief Executive Officer of The Cambridge Group—a Nielsen division and one of the world’s preeminent growth strategy consulting firms.
Earlier in his career, Mark served on McKinsey & Company’s marketing practice leadership team, where he co-founded McKinsey’s B2B marketing and branding practices. He subsequently was a senior partner and managing director at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Mark started his career at Bain & Company, as a charter member of the firm’s loyalty practice.
Mark is Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Demand Institute, a non-profit organization jointly operated by The Conference Board and Nielsen. He is a member of The Conference Board’s Global Advisory Council and serves on a Board of Overseers for Bard College. Previously, Mark has served on the Board of Directors of Ambient Devices (as Chairman), Nielsen Catalina Solutions, and Prophet.
Mark was a research fellow at Harvard Business School, holds an M.A. from Harvard University and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany.
