Executive Vice President
Mark Leiter is Executive Vice President at Nielsen and serves as Chairman of The Demand Institute. During his tenure with Nielsen, Mark has provided global leadership for practices, products, services and solutions across the company while also playing a central role in designing Nielsen’s worldwide growth and go-to-market strategies.
Mark served as President, Global Practices & Consulting Services at Nielsen before taking on his current role. He concurrently served as Chief Executive Officer of The Cambridge Group—a part of Nielsen and one of the world’s preeminent growth strategy consulting firms.
Earlier in his career, Mark was a senior partner and managing director at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGEY). At CGEY, he led marketing across all business units, worldwide. He was also a global co-leader of the firm's 2,500 person, $1.2 billion (revenue) management consulting practice.
Mark served on the leadership team of McKinsey & Co.'s North American Marketing practice group, where he co-founded McKinsey & Co.’s branding and business-to-business (B2B) marketing practices. Mark began his career at Bain & Co. as a charter member of the firm’s customer loyalty practice.
Mark currently serves on the Board of Overseers of Bard College at Simon's Rock. Mark holds a BA, summa cum laude, from State University of New York, Albany; an AM from Harvard University; and was a research fellow at Harvard Business School.
