Chief Operating Officer
Mitchell Habib serves as Chief Operating Officer for Nielsen. Mitchell heads the Global Business Services organization responsible for wide-ranging services, including global operations, technology, product engineering, statistical methodologies, Retail Measurement Services product leadership, business process reengineering, IT infrastructure and sourcing across Nielsen businesses and functions. Mitchell works with leading media and consumer packaged goods companies to deliver innovative technology solutions that provide unparalleled consumer insights.
Prior to joining Nielsen in 2007, Mitchell served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Citigroup's North America Consumer Businesses and, before that, as CIO for Citigroup's North America Credit Cards Division. He has also held leadership positions at prominent global firms including Ernst & Young and several major divisions of General Electric during his 25-year career.
Mitchell holds a Masters of public administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Florida, where he is recognized as an Alumnus of Distinction of the College of Journalism and Communications. He serves on the Boards of Directors for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and digital video advertising company YuMe, as well as the Advisory Boards of Northeastern University’s Center for Emerging Markets and the World Marketing Summit.
