Job Description

NielsenIQ’s Product Operations team combines Retail Intelligence Product Leadership, DSci, and Data Acquisition (field collection of display, new item, and TDLinx ops) into a single team supporting the NA commercial business (Canada and US). The intent is to move faster and more aligned to commercial needs. The direct ownership is around core retail measurement channel/retailer coverage.

The Director -Product Leadership will own the applications used to provide reporting and insight on the core content products across the US and Canada. This role will work closely with the Global Pl team which owns these platforms and applications across guided analysis, BI reporting, and applications. The role is responsible for the product roadmap aligned to global, commercial potential, input on market needs, and the go-to-market launch of new and enhanced applications. 

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain product roadmap for the core applications across US and Canada for the next 12 – 24 months

  • Direct client input on product roadmap and alignment

  • Financial results for new and enhanced applications and the business case

  • Go to market launch for new and enhanced applications

  • Enhancements / new products aligned to global platform capability and roadmaps

We are looking for people with:

  • Key products: Connect Express Essentials, CIP platform / Connect Enterprise, IPM, ABD, and future applications from global

  • Partner with NA product content leads on content enhancements and the reporting / delivery needs

  • Create go to market materials for new products and product enhancements

  • Develop the business case and financial profile for new products and enhancements

  • Conduct client discovery on needs and validation of product plans inclusive of willingness to pay and confidence in financial projections.

  • Provide commercial support for product roadmap and product specific discussions

  • Pricing policy for existing and new products in alignment with the pricing team and global standards.

  • No direct reports in the role as defined

  • Provide guidance / mentorship based upon individuals knowledge and areas of expertise

  • Global PL – Future platform enhancements for content processing, reporting / insights, and apps

  • Global PL DSci Innovation – Application delivery tied to these organizations discovery

  • Ops – Implementation of enhancement and new products

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
