As Corporate Vice President of Tencent, Steven Chang is in charge of Tencent’s online media’s marketing solution and adverting business with a special eye on alignment of Tencent Video, mobile, portal and social advertising.
Steven has extensive Asia and HK experience before joining China in 1996. Before China, Steven was the Executive Media Director of Saatchi & Saatchi HK. Chairman of HK 4As Media Committee and awarded as Best Media Director in Asia by British Airways.
Since China, Steven has been heads of various offices and functions of ZenithOptimedia China and HK for 18 years. During which graduated from EMBA, Kellogg-HKUST (ranked no.1 WW by Financial Times for 5 times). Steven holds management role for many years with particular strength of leading change for the best, turning crisis into positive and winning new business.
Steven became CEO& President of ZenithOptimedia Greater China in 2010, overseeing the company’s operations in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Steven is Adjunct Professor for some Universities in China and Hong Kong (including Department of Marketing of Hong Kong Chinese University) and one of the few 4As Strategic Consultants of CCTV since 2009.
Steven also has gained a lot of advertising awards: 2014 Marketing Influencer of ifeng.com, 2013 Ad Person, 2012-14 VMarketing China Top 100 Marketers, Top 10 Ad Persons of China, Top 10 Digital Marketers of China, Media Person of the Year， only 4As Premium Distinguished Expert of Baidu。Steven has led ZenithOptimedia be the Best Agency of the Year from R3-CAA, Best Agency of the ROI Festival, and no. 1 in RECMA in 2010.
Steven has written and being interviewed extensively for many years in business journals and trade titles. Steven also speaks regularly in industrial forums throughout the years and has been selected best speaker for many times.
Recently Steven’s interest lies in Internet of Things, integration of new and traditional media, especially communication strategy for mobile media and content.
