Oliver Rust is Managing Director of Nielsen China.
He leads our emerging verticals and Go to Market strategy for both our watch and buy businesses in China, with the objective of driving client success.
Under Oliver’s leadership, his teams have successfully delivered business impact by enabling client organisations to connect closely with consumers, navigate ever-changing market climates, and satisfy wide-ranging business needs with innovative Nielsen solutions.
Oliver has held a number of leadership roles for Greater China, as well as globally. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of China, Oliver’s more recent roles include Managing Director of Nielsen’s Global Financial Services Vertical, Managing Director of Nielsen Hong Kong, and Executive Director of Nielsen China, based in Shanghai.
Oliver is a veteran in the information business with 17 years of industry experience spanning across Europe and Asia Pacific. He possesses comprehensive expertise in understanding consumers’ behaviour, focusing on what they watch and buy, and has extensive industry experience including financial services, FMCG, retail, government, and Media.
He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Communications and Marketing Committee with the American Chamber of Commerce and sits on the boards of two privately held organisations.
