QINGDAO – July 15, 2014 – Nielsen, a leading global provider of information and insights into what consumers watch and buy, announced today the opening of a new office in Qingdao. It is another strategic decision made by Nielsen, since the opening of the first China office in 1984, to demonstrate its commitment to the Chinese market and its clients.
With enterprises like Haier, Hisense, Tsingtao Beer, Double Star and AUCMA booming in recent years, Qingdao represents the developed coastal cities in China, continuously driving not only the economy of Shandong province, but also Bohai Rim in a broader sense.
Additionally, the higher GDP growth in Qingdao and Shandong Province, combined with the increasing per capita disposable income of local consumers, has built a solid foundation for local markets to continuously upgrade in the years to come.
