Position Title: EMEA/APAC Cash Analyst

Reports to: Assistant Treasurer, Global Liquidity & Cash Management

Location: Dublin, Ireland, Frankfurt, Germany, Amsterdam, Netherlands

 

Introduction: The Cash Analyst is a key member of the Global Liquidity & Cash Management team within Corporate Treasury. With operations in 60 countries, the Treasury team is focused on efficiently managing the liquidity position, optimizing the global cash strategy, and producing comprehensive cash forecasting and reporting. This position will oversee and/or execute the transactional flows for the EMEA and APAC regions.  This position will evolve over time to incorporate the changing needs of the business units we support and the initiatives of the Treasury team.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage day to day cash operations. Review daily cash position of multi currency notional pool, execute wire transfers in a timely manner ensuring accuracy, control and appropriate authorizations are in place. Coordinate liquidity management with business units to centralize cash in multi currency notional pool.

  • Ensure all operating entities have adequate liquidity, centralize excess cash to reduce external debt, facilitate global cash concentration, and ensure global finance teams are operationally equipped.

  • Collaborate with Tax, Accounting, and Finance to identify and implement dividend, loan, and cash repatriation opportunities to optimize subsidiary cash balances. Initiate dividend and loan requests where required by funding plan and ensure cash transactions are executed.

  • Manage end to end process of the monthly BMG Intercompany netting cycle. Execute and/or coordinate execution of intercompany netting settlements. Work with business units to actively reduce intercompany balances.

  • Execute closing and funding of acquisitions and divestitures. Support integration of newly acquired companies.

  • Together with the Banking Analyst, understand cash operations of each entity in your region. Identify improvements to bank account and liquidity structures, recommend and implement the solution. 

  • Review ongoing cash balances to understand the types and timing of all incoming and outgoing flows. Use this to help controllers better forecast future cash balances on individual entity accounts. 

  • Support A/P and A/R teams and local business units to resolve payment investigations, transactional issues or discrepancies with partner banks.

  • Recommend improvements to corporate banking infrastructure and processes including participation in cash pools, cash sweeping and netting

  • Hold trainings to educate and train your region on Treasury processes, new initiatives and best practices for banking operations 

  • Evaluate and implement ways to streamline and automate current processes and reporting to reduce manual work and potential for errors. This includes collaborating with other departments and leveraging technology to ensure improved processes and create value across the company

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in Treasury at a multinational corporation with cash operations experience or in 3+ years in Banking, preferably with corporate/institutional clients

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of banking software/portals is required, treasury workstations and/or SAP is a plus

  • Passion for technology: Has a comfort and passion for learning and working with new technology. Intermediate proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites, expected to reach advanced over time.

  • Excellent communicator: (including written communication) and ability to work cross-functionally. Transparently communicates changes impacting team members. Other languages are a plus.

  • Process follower: Adheres to established Treasury processes and displays consistency in how similar issues are addressed
