This role sits within the Market & Communications function ( Marcoms) which is the gatekeeper for the Nielsen brand and reputation. Creating revenue opportunities to help build, develop manage and protect our brand.
This is an exciting opportunity to forge your communications career with a global brand where you will get a exposure and foundation and understanding of outcomes in planning measuring in harnassing and executing data within the sports & media industry and how we do this to help our clients, broadcasters, advertisers, entertainment and technology leaders optimise their investments.
The International Marcoms team protects and builds the reputation of Nielsen’s brand and supports the highest value revenue opportunities. We do this by clear and creative marketing and communications campaigns that engage and educate our associates and external audiences. We generate commercial leads, help tell smart stories and create demand for our products and services.
This position reports directly into applicable International Executive Communications leader based in London.
Through supporting the International Executive Communications leader you will plan and deliver projects across all our internal communications channels to help create informed and engaged Nielsen colleagues. Externally you will support engaging and delight our clients through activities such as managing logistics of our webinars. Overall you will enjoy telling Nielsen’s story for media measurement, planning and outcomes and content to shape a better media future for the entire industry.
You should have an established communications background and experience within the media industry is preferred. You will have excellent communication, organisational and digital skills in addition to faultless attention to detail and a proven ability to build relationships.
This role is based within a fast paced department. Multi-tasking and adapting whilst maintaining a strong, strategic and holistic overview of all communication channels is critical to success.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING ?
Internally you will help host webinars and support administration /logistics for platform and calendar of live events
You’ll help maintain product site and manage information and support our sales team with materials
You’ll be the bridge for international marketing communications and creating campaigns
You’ll celebrate wins and team structure changes and , support announcements strategic business
You’ll support regional and international “town hall” live casts planning and and logistics coordination
Support internal email communications in terms of creation and distribution to elevate content, product launches, business announcements etc
Support creating marketing campaigns in Salesforce
Maintain our internal International G-Site and product ecosystem
Be a second pair of eyes on communications to ensure we utilise global brand messaging
Help coordinate translations for our 60+ countries
Host external webinars logistics with champions in each region to support execution
Ensure everything we do in international marcoms is being measured to share the impact of our efforts
Help create and document marcoms processes for maximum efficiency
Be creative and strive to always think differently
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You’ll have a a roll up your sleeves and get it done attitude – it is not enough to have great ideas, you must be able to get stuff done
Playing well with others is a must. We work as a team and have no room for egos
Be able to cultivate relationships inside and outside the organization
Work independently on a small team with a tremendous amount of responsibility
Be able to work in a dynamic environment where new projects and pop-up often
Good time management and flexibility with time differences as some liaison will be with APAC
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Ideally 2-3+ years experience in the media industry
Confident communicator with exceptional attention to detail, along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and an ability to address business and technical audiences
Experience leading multi-practice teams toward a common deliverable on frequently accelerated timeframes
Strong collaborator and mentor with the ability to bring out the best in talent and effectively motivate and manage teams
Excellent organization, project management and problem solving skills
Amazing writing and PowerPoint/Slides skills and be able to tell a cohesive story through a narrative or a deck
Must be intellectually curious and collaborative, “humble, hungry and smart” with a strong work ethic
Relationship building skills with the ability to interface with senior executives and experts across the organization
You’ll be confident in talking to senior leaders and building relationships with clients
Ideally will have some experience of Salesforce Marketing Platform ,WordPress Googlesuite, C-EVENT ( our staple technology) although this is not essential…
You ‘ll have some knowledge/use of survey user platforms like Sprinkler ,SMC ,Survey Monkey or similar
