Before we get into things further, thank you for taking the time to review this role and for taking an interest @Nielsen

A bit about us:

In Nielsen we embrace MicroServices and MicroFrontends architecture, so we can choose the best technology for the task and develop our skills in the most promising directions.

We are working with .Net , docker, and kubernetes so prior experience will certainly be an advantage.

How could you help us do this?

As a DevOps Engineer you will focus on the design and implementation of a DevOps strategy that makes building modern applications possible.

Combine your solid technological experience with a data-centered approach and help us develop and operate modern applications that we will be proud of together.

What kind of work would you be doing?

  • Code in modern technologies to improve your skills and bring value to the users

  • Interact with the team to get knowledge on the business, technologies, and solutions

  • Understand the user and user research data to build friendly and powerful interfaces

  • Test your software to maintain high quality, across different scenarios and devices

  • Leverage your and other strengths and competence to build well-rounded teams

What achievements should you have so far?

You’ll have been curious about new open-source technologies and have the ability to research and present recommendations to the team. You work effectively, automating things rather than doing them twice. You have a proven track record of taking lead and responsibility and successfully delivering results. You are not afraid to negotiate with global technology teams and convince others of your solutions.

What about you?

  • You are a passionate, energetic DevOps engineer with an appetite to extend your knowledge and apply your skills on challenging projects.

  • You bring a broad range of experience in cloud technologies and in modern open-source stacks and are happy to share your skills with other developers

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Kubernetes, Kubernetes Operators, Helm

  • Docker

  • Micro-service architecture

  • Service Meshes

  • Observability & monitoring ( Grafana, Alertmanager, ELK, AWS CloudWatch)

  • Version control software (we are using Git)

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language

  • Work in Agile scrum teams

What will you get in return?

Libraries, frameworks, containerization, data abstraction, object relational model, cloud, on premises.
We have different technologies in our scope, and while you won’t be using all of them, we do value experience and expertise when making technological decisions. Convince the team, or let the team convince you. Be ready to learn and to teach.

Heard enough?

What are you waiting for?  We are waiting for you…

Apply now!
