The media industry is in the midst of a digital transformational change since TV was launched and Nielsen is at the heart of how marketers target their future media strategies.
The International Marcoms team protects and builds the reputation of Nielsen’s brand and supports the highest value revenue opportunities. We do this by clear and creative marketing and communications campaigns that engage and educate our associates and external audiences. We generate commercial leads, help tell smart stories and create demand for our products and services.
The need for trusted, independent, audience measurement is critical for media buying and selling, across all media types (television, digital, print, audio, out-of-home and cinema). As International Measurement Marcoms you will be responsible for strategising and executing a marketing and communications Measurement roadmap each year, including product launches and expansions, content to be published and Nielsen owned and industry events/webinars. You will nurture our existing clients with regular engagements and create new opportunities to showcase our global footprint in countries. 
You will promote and protect Nielsen’s brand and support the Product and Commercial teams to leverage growth opportunities. The successful candidate will have a passion for strategising revenue growth through a range of marketing and communications tactics. 
You’ll work with Digital Restore and Open Web  to create and measure solutions to  and  articulate messages  that make sense to our clients.
As a global business, the successful candidate must be a team player that proactively and colloboratively contributes to global marcoms responses and plans. As the International Measurement Marcoms representative you will also be responsible for ensuring the local International Marcoms teams have the global information required so that they can implement, localise, translate and distribute strategies for their regions.

This position reports directly into the European Marcoms leader and has a dotted line into the Global Measurement team in Denmark  who are launching Nielsen One and Saudi Arabia digital ad ratings.


You’ll have a solid understanding of the media industry a real grasp of which digital strategies can be used to watch content and how our clients can plan and track their campaigns.

You’ll also have …

A minimum of 10+ years experience in B2B Marketing, Media, and/or Sales
Confident communicator with exceptional attention to detail, along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and an ability to address business and technical audiences
Experience leading multi-practice teams toward a common deliverable on frequently accelerated timeframes 
Strong collaborator and mentor with the ability to bring out the best in talent and effectively motivate and manage teams
Excellent organisation, project management and problem solving skills
A storyteller able to tell a cohesive story through a narrative or a deck
Must be intellectually curious and collaborative, “humble, hungry and smart” with a strong work ethic
Relationship building skills with the ability to interface with senior executives and experts across the organisation
Drive marketing and communications strategies for the Audience Measurement portfolio including TV, digital, print, audio, out-of-home and cinema. 
Crisis management :  Be the go-to stakeholder for what to do when a Measurement crisis arises through creating and approving Nielsen’s Measurement international responses. This will require working closely with Product and Commercial teams to minimise negative press coverage and revenue impact.
Content writing: creating regular editorial content (insights articles, press releases, reports, perspectives), product notices and designing email campaigns.  
Leadership when launching products or enhancement: As the coordinator you will be responsible for highly successful and memorable client-centric announcement and product materials. 
Sales enablement: A key stakeholder for strategising major RFP responses and defining revenue marketing strategies. 
Team player: active participation with the U.S. Marcoms team to ensure International Measurement messaging and strategies are cohesive 
Work with Product Management to understand product priorities and roadmap milestones and bring together cross-functional teams across the Marcom Centers of Excellence including Communications, Growth Marketing and Partnerships & Events to develop integrated marketing plans that directly support commercial priorities that deliver incremental revenue with existing clients and engage new clients
Partner with Commercial and Product leadership teams to translate business strategies into marketing and communications strategies that help the business meet its revenue targets
