About the Retail Intelligence Team
At NielsenIQ, the Retail Intelligence team simplifies and streamlines collaboration between retailers and suppliers by providing a joint set of tools through a shared platform. The team uses diverse data sources, visualisations and tools to provide clear and actionable analysis for our clients. Keeping our clients’ perspectives top of mind, the team delivers mutual growth through quick, accurate and consistent insights. Critical to the success of this role is maintaining a client service orientation, achieved through effective management of day-to-day client interactions as well as reporting of assigned research projects. 

About the role 
The Associate Director is a senior position within our Hong Kong Office and suitable for someone with the passion to succeed in a rapidly evolving environment. 

Client Servicing

  • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date client business profiles to be shared with senior management
  • Undertake sales activities independently or in conjunction with senior staff in terms of preparation and delivery of proposal and credentials
  • Ensure client service standards are implemented and enhanced as client expectations continue to evolve and change in the marketplace
  • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations or business reviews
  • Ensure the implementation of Client Management Process for the assigned accounts and be able to add value to those key clients
  • Identify and recommend enhanced and new services that answer clients' business needs
  • Expand our scope of influence with clients across a wider range of products and with greater depth of involvement
  • Provide product solutions and benefits to client business issues/opportunities by developing strategic initiatives for each client
  • Develop plans to cross-sell and introduce new services to current clients
  • Ensure the services provided to clients are timely and precise according to client business needs and specifications while meeting the company's quality standards
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within the client organization
  • Attend client planning meetings and contribute by matching NielsenIQ products to client needs
  • Work closely with the Client Delivery team to ensure accuracy of regular deliverables.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to the approved company policies on business conduct/ethics when servicing clients

Financial Management

  • Achieve revenue, profitability, quality, speed of delivery, and productivity targets as assigned
  • Contribute to overall team plan by generating revenue and/or cost-savings ideas

Functional / Technical

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of research techniques and applications
  • Provide value-added analyses and respond to special requests
  • Manage data quality issues by overseeing data inquiry process
  • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility

Organizational Management and Development

  • Work across functional business units to support organizational initiatives and business needs
  • Promote inter-departmental and inter-divisional communications and teamwork
  • Provide analytical solutions and consumer insights through hands-on data-mining to clients’ business needs
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on industry trends, software solutions and methods to ensure NielsenIQ provides the best client solutions available
  • Ensure the services provided to clients are timely and precise according to client business needs and specifications while meeting the company's quality standards

About you

  • BA / BS in Statistics, Business, Marketing or Business Analytics Required (MBA desirable)
  • 6 to 10 years experience in FMCG / Service / Retail industry
  • Strong capability in statistical and multivariate analysis is a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of research techniques and methodologies
  • Project management experience
  • Good knowledge of using both Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Outgoing, positive, good time management, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
