The Associate Manager position is within the Customer Success team, to create insights for the account management teams to use in their conversations with clients and to understand the ever changing landscape of viewing consumption. This individual will collaborate with other associates on the team as well as associates across Nielsen to build the pathways between the data and the visualizations as well as develop proactive insights and analysis into our national media clients data trends using alerts and other statistical measures. Additionally this associate will partner with the account management teams to develop client specific insights to help drive revenue opportunities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • The Associate Manager will collaborate with various internal teams to build the specific codes needed to manipulate the data into easy to understand and read visualizations that the Account Management teams use to understand their clients’ performance and the landscape of viewing consumption. 
  • Develop Subject Matter Expertise in Nielsen National, Local, Digital and Cross Platform data.
  • Analyze datasets and proactively identify trends and breaks in trends that could be indicators of issues or client inquiries using QA and BI tools available. 
  • Manage time across various projects to ensure timely delivery while maintaining data integrity and reliability on assigned projects.
  • Partner with account management teams to develop insights and sales collateral to drive revenue.

  • Quick learner, self-starter: Looking for a self-starter, who is resourceful with a detail-oriented mindset and uses resources at hand to search for answers and strengthen understanding of projects and tools.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: Ability to turn numbers into stories our clients can understand and respond to; ability to interpret data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau) and strong proficiency with Microsoft & Google Suites
  • Attention to detail : Quality and accuracy in the work is essential to an associate manager being successful in the role.
  • Strong Time management skills: This position will require you to manage your time across multiple projects to ensure timely delivery while maintaining accuracy.


Additional Skills / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • 2-4 Years experience in Data Analysis and coding preferred. 
  • Must be able to collaborate with a variety of teams.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Broad media industry knowledge. 
  • Experience with NPower, NNTV, Nielsen methodologies and computations a plus.
