Job Description

Nielsen is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demand. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. Generate new business opportunities for the Financial Services, Technology, Telco, and Automotive vertical by using various digital tools & methods for client outreach and supporting the team in cost compilations, proposal development, and client management. Support commercial administrative activities including coordinating on weekly PnL analysis and reporting.


  • Assist the team in business development from new lead generation to project kick-off:

    • Proactively seek new client accounts and contacts to connect with and reconnect with existing database clients to generate potential new opportunities

    • Introduce Nielsen solutions to new clients, update existing clients on new products and product transformations

    • Develop solutions pitch decks  for new and key clients

    • Coordinate with costing teams and vendors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing

    • Support proposal preparation, including consolidating desk research, Nielsen project experience, and developing case studies

    • Prepare contracts and coordinate with legal and finance teams to close sales

    • Prepare client kick-off decks by coordinating with project teams on timelines and credentials

    • CRM system management, clean up and updating

  • Provide client servicing on standard questions and build industry knowledge to support more advanced inquiries.

  • Attend trainings and connect with stakeholders to increase knowledge of Nielsen and competitor solutions to support more complex pitches

  • Collaborate across Nielsen’s business units, locally and internationally, to support project kick-off, client project-specific queries, and ongoing business process improvements.

  • Proactively seek ways to ensure proposals are competitive in terms of both price and approach, as well as processes are optimized and efficient

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to execute campaigns and marketing initiatives

  • Support global Finance syndication activities across sales, marketing and project execution.

  • Generate weekly and quarterly PnL reports for revenue forecasting and planning

  • Perform other related functions that may be assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Up to 1 year of working or internship experience, preferably in market research

  • Background or experience in business development, including lead generation, pipeline and revenue report generation and analysis, proposal preparation and development, project cost preparation and evaluation, vendor negotiations, client management, internal stakeholder management, and overall project management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint and Google Spreadsheet & Slides.

  • Excellent English written & presentation skills

  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred

  • Interest in Financial Services industry preferred
