Infrastructure Engineer – 68326

Technology and Engineering – Australia Macquarie Park, New South Wales 

About the role
A fantastic opportunity to join a small and exceptionally versatile team of engineers supporting a wide range of enterprise infrastructure in a small/mid-sized organisation. This is a broadly focused role
managing many different enterprise technologies. It will suit a versatile engineer who is comfortable working across a mix of compute, network, storage and operating systems.

Responsibilities 

  • End to end management of all infrastructure elements – compute, network & storage
  • Interface with applications, development and support teams (local and international)
  • Administer and maintain a large fleet of physical, virtual and cloud servers
  • Manage a complex data centre network and multi-site WAN
  • Design and deliver infrastructure upgrades and enhancements
  • Maintain detailed monitoring, alerting & logging functions across the environment
  • Engage on deep problem troubleshooting and incident rectification
  • Engage with vendors, suppliers and ISPs
  • Infrequent interstate travel

Requirements 

  • 5+ years; experience in an enterprise infrastructure environment
  • Windows Core infrastructure – DNS, DHCP, RAS, AD, File services
  • Linux administration experience essential – Centos/RHEL
  • Experience with virtualisation and storage platforms – VMware ESXi, Dell, EMC, Cisco
  • Understanding of enterprise networks – Switching, IP routing, firewalling
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Zabbix, Nagios) highly regarded
  • Exposure to cloud environments desirable (AWS)
  • Preferably citizens of Australia or PR, otherwise potential applicants must have proof of right to work in Australia.

Desired certifications
MCSE/MCSA, VCP/VCAP, CCNA/CCNP, AWS
