Job Description

ABOUT THIS JOB
At Nielsen, the IT Support Staff will have work experience in Development and Production
environment with infra support and hands on Windows and Linux servers. Good Knowledge of file systems, services, User Management, IP-tables of Linux flavors RHEL5, 6 (7 appreciable), Ubuntu. Server Management/Performance Improvement, Knowledge and experience of installation of open source application on Linux and Windows..
RESPONSIBILITIES
● L1 and L2 IT Support -Provide basic IT support to internal end-users
● Logging calls into the ticketing system and ensures successful resolution of tickets
● Escalate issues on systems, hardware, and software to respective teams when required
● Provide excellent service to users to meet total customer satisfaction
● Maintain IT asset inventories and update regularly.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU
A successful IT Support Staff will have strong understanding and Technical ability for Desktops and Laptops software systems and applications – hands-on support, basic knowledge on AV systems and Troubleshooting of AV system, fair understanding on Network Switches, Routers, and WiFi equipment. S/He will be customer-oriented with excellent customer service skills. Flexible and able to standby anytime to attend breakdown, ability to work on weekends if there is a need.

QUALIFICATIONS
● BSc Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent qualification
● Fluency in English mandatory
● Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience
● Must have experience in Windows ( Server and Desktop) , Linux , VMWare
environments
