Principal Software Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Analyze, develop, test, and document highly complex software applications and business systems, which are revolutionizing the way that the industry will analyze total audience measurement and total content consumption across all devices and platforms. Prototype software components and incorporate reusable assets into application design. Work with Architect Leaders to develop plans for building application solutions and environments that address our business strategies. Define, document, and implement conceptual designs consisting of data strategy, business processes, application interfaces, and technology solutions. Define and implement a structure and design framework including application design; end-user environment, hardware, software and network environment, and methodologies and standards. Develop highly complex software code that is maintainable, easy to use, and satisfies complex application requirements. Train and coach junior staff by establishing and socializing engineering standards to which the team should be held accountable. Involves the possibility to telecommute from within the Oldsmar, FL area.





Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with an information technology focus (foreign equivalent degree acceptable) plus 5 years of experience in software development (would also accept a master’s degree plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience). This must include: 5 years of experience in Java (incl. at least 2 years of experience with Java 8 stream development); Designing and developing microservices architectures; and Building and working with Git and CI/CD pipelines. 2 years of experience in: External API management and development; Enterprise cloud development; and Agile development processes and supporting tools (such as TDD and CI/CD). 1 year of experience with: External API management and development using the APIGEE platform; DevOps development processes; NoSQL; Docker; Angular and IntelliJ IDE.
