Imagine working closely with many of the world’s largest sports brands to help them maximize their Sponsorship investments. Nielsen Sports & Esports is a trusted adviser and partner in sports, esports and entertainment intelligence, helping our clients worldwide to develop, optimize and measure their investments. With our expansive suite of products and services, Nielsen Sports & Esports is uniquely positioned to provide insights and intelligence which help drive more effective decision making for clients. The Sales Director, Brand Partnerships for Nielsen Sports & Esports will be responsible for developing, selling and delivering integrated solutions to Brand clients in the North American Brand sector. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

 

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer portfolio
  • Establish and meet short and long range goals and objectives 
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting 
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from lead generation to close 
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting and/or exceeding revenue targets against assigned territory and accounts 
  • Successfully identify and solve client issues strategically 
  • Keen ability to articulate the distinct aspects of our products and solutions in a consultative manner 
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Understand industry-specific landscapes and trends (sports, esports, COVID-related impact) 
  • Foster and maintain influential industry relationships with key decision makers in order to promote company profile and reputation as “trusted advisor” 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Operations teams to implement and deliver successful client outcomes across business functions within Nielsen and externally
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement 
  • Provide market feedback to company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and new product development ideas
  • Represent Nielsen Sports & Esports at conferences, meetings, networking events, and other marketing initiatives

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

 

  • Experience in understand sponsorship landscape from the lens of the Brands’ perspective 
  • Experience in selling market research focused products and integrated sponsorship solutions
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in a new business development role, industry applicable experience a must
  • Intimate knowledge of both the sports & esports landscape
