About the Job

Nielsen Enterprise IT is seeking a qualified Solution Architect to join its Global CRM team.  Our Salesforce CRM platform has grown exponentially over the past two years, now supporting over 10,000 internal employees in 95 countries. In 2018, we are evolving the platform to transform our quote-to-cash (QTC) processes with the implementation of Apttus CPQ and CLM solutions.  


  • Overseeing the initial minimum viable product (MVP) implementation by the Apttus Services team 
  • Expanding the quote-to-cash solution to additional divisions and regions while aligning to the overall, global solution design
  • Translating CPQ/CLM business requirements into solution design specifications
  • Prototyping new features and integrations aligned to business strategy by introducing innovation through technology
  • Serving as a technical subject matter expert and mentor to the development team
  • Partnering with the Global Salesforce Solution Architect on cross-functional requirements
  • Simplifying and streamlining existing architecture for growth

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of design/architect experience with at least 2 years of Salesforce implementation expertise
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and relevant certification in Quote-to-Cash, CPQ, and/or CLM solutions (e.g. Apttus, Salesforce CPQ, Oracle, Emptoris, etc.)
  • Strong functional knowledge of Quote-To-Cash, Product Configuration, Pricing, Quoting, and Contract Lifecycle Management functionality
  • Strong expertise in at least two of the following Salesforce product areas: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Einstein Analytics Cloud, and/or Marketing Cloud (Pardot)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Salesforce admin/developer, including experience with APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an enterprise Agile environment
  • Good communication skills with end users and business stakeholders
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related IT field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I
  • Apttus Quote-to-Cash Certification (CPQ 201/202 and/or CLM 201/202)
  • Solid understanding of bill of materials, product bundling, and product structure concepts
  • Experience using the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo, and the Salesforce ANT migration tool.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations (e.g. SAP, ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.) and integration middleware technologies (e.g. Dell Boomi)
  • Experience working in object-oriented programming languages
