ABOUT THIS JOB

 

The Global Operations Efficiency team within Nielsen Global Operations is driving analyses behind company-wide decisions related to Marketing Effectiveness product delivery, and building scalable processes and systems that enable internal and external stakeholders to leverage data and act upon insights to support positive business outcomes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Maintaining established recurring reports, including incorporating update requests from executive leadership and addressing questions from internal stakeholders
  • Working with cross functional stakeholders to understand and document reporting needs
  • Designing templates and developing reports within Google work apps (and other tools, including Microsoft Office) that utilize formulas and scripts to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Deriving insights for internal business partners and senior leadership via reports, presentations and dashboards
  • Identifying and implementing short-term solutions in a timely manner, while helping to define the long-term solution
  • Identifying and recommending operational opportunities and helping to improve or innovate our processes to increase efficiency for our teams
  • Continually learn new tools and techniques as we further develop our reporting platforms 

 

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU

 

As our Operations Efficiency Analyst, you are responsible for operational reporting; collecting, synthesizing and analyzing data in order to create reports for global leads from Nielsen’s Marketing Effectiveness Product, Technology and Operations groups. You are:

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, communications, statistics, computer science, econometrics or information systems field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience with analytics, business intelligence or consulting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including software troubleshooting 
  • Excellent technical proficiency for reporting in Google work apps and Microsoft Office with the ability to independently identify and write useful formulas and scripts that will ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills (English) and ability to build relationships across geographically distributed teams and business levels 
  • Consistently demonstrate high attention to details
  • Good eye for designing reports and overall aesthetics; enjoys data visualization
  • Self-motivated, flexible and works well independently while being part of a team and working towards a larger team goal  
  • Confident asking questions and vocalizing ideas 
  • Well-organized and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, with utmost accuracy

 

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • VBA and Google App script knowledge 
  • Understanding of traditional and digital media landscape 
  • Understanding of common marketing and media measurement tools used by advertisers, platforms and publishers
  • Familiarity with basic statistics concepts
