Job Description


At Nielsen IQ we autonomously contribute to analysis that resolves specific Client concerns; serves as a liaison between Commercial team, Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering, & Data  Science teams with regards to Internal and External Client Projects. Our statistical research is at the forefront of an industry moving at the speed of light. Intelligent analytics team builds highly scalable, technologically advanced tools that help clients take action. This will include a suite of products for both manufacturer and retail clients that drive merchandising success, tools that create the collaboration currency between retailers and manufacturers, on-shelf availability solutions that will ensure customers never abandon a purchase, in-store or online and provide analytics from route to market in emerging markets that reflect the digital future of consumer behaviour.



● The Senior Manager will be responsible for understanding client business and interpreting briefs

● Building relationships with clients and driving business growth by pitching various IA solutions

● Scoping the project to suit client business needs – thinking of analytical solutions which will answer business questions and working on pitch material

● Leading the commercial negotiations and contract closures with clients

● Identify and design a strategic plan towards the fulfilment of targets (OP) for the assigned set of clients

● He/she will work closely with the delivery and centre of excellence teams responsible for execution and delivery of projects to the clients

● Managing client expectations and ensuring quality deliveries are made to clients by delivery teams

● Managing client relations, retaining clients and driving client satisfaction (CSAT or NPS scores from client would be a key KPI)



You’ve dabbled in research and analytics. And you have the communication chops to translate it all into conversation or presentations. While you’ve worked with global cross-functional teams, you can also put your head down and focus on independent projects. Seeing the big picture takes attention to details. Keeping up with the fast-changing world of digital media measurement takes someone who recognizes that. You know what’s happening in big data and you’re ready to influence what’s next.



● MBA (desirable) with 7 to 9 years market research experience with either MR agencies, CPG manufacturers, Retailers

● Strong on practical business knowledge and how manufacturers operate

● Must have done client consulting/facing roles

● Must have revenue responsibilities in the past

● Must have done business development in the previous roles

● Excellent data interpretation & problem solving skills

● Effective writing skills

● Strong Client Focus and Proactiveness

● Very Good Influencing and Persuading Skills

● Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies

● Strong presentation skills, Logical thinking, Strong command on excel

● Working knowledge of statistics– working understanding of basic techniques like ANOVA, Sig Testing, Regression
