Sr. Solutions Engineer

Brief Description

Nielsen  has a strong Client Success and Solutions team that provides our customers with the best solutions tailored to their specific needs. Sr. Solutions Engineers at the Nielsen Marketing Cloud are a critical part of the organization.  We get customers up and running on our platform, influence the design of new features, determine the best way to integrate with external partners, and provide technical support to internal teams and clients. This role is part operations and  part product support, So if you’re looking to use your technical skills to solve problems and shape the big picture, this might be the role for you.

 

Responsibilities

  • Validate client use cases and design onboarding strategies 

  • Work with clients and partners to implement and maintain complex integrations 

  • Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and define, test, and roll out new features to our platform.

  • Work closely with the product team to improve customer success across our platform

  • Develop and maintain internal tools to monitor core processes 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into platform usage

  • Become a technical and product subject matter expert while working on technologies that are used for different requirements for each client

  • Mentor junior team members and boost collaboration across teams

  • Document project details to both handover internally and also onboard clients seamlessly

  • Troubleshoot issues or bugs identified in solutions

  • Support product development activities through understanding and communication of end user needs and requirements, product testing, proof of concept development and new product build/deployment.

  • Define best practices and conventions for the use of our platform

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical or similar role 

  • Capable of discussing technical concepts with technical and non-technical audiences

  • Intermediate SQL and database concepts

  • Novice understanding of cloud concepts

  • Strong understanding of advertising technology, associated ecosystem, and common processes (e.g. server-to-server integrations, real-time bidding, cookie sync, etc)

  • Intermediate data analysis & visualization skills

  • Adtech background

  • Experience with 1 or more of the following: 

    • API design and/or management 

    • One or more scripting languages (Ideally Python, JavaScript, or Bash)

    • Linux/Unix Servers, AWS, or GCP

Desirable

  • Experience working with DSPs, SSPs, Ad tech platforms

  • Experience working with OTT

  • Understanding of advertising technology, associated ecosystem, and common processes (e.g. server-to-server integrations, real-time bidding, cookie sync, etc).

  • Knowledge of Privacy regulation like CCPA/GDPR.

  • Knowledge of 1st & 3rd party cookie tracking.

  • Keep track of the latest industry evolution trends.
