In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

Develop and test statistical model specifications to meet client needs. Develop and apply statistical and quantitative analysis, modeling, and optimization. Perform research design using statistical software and other analytical tools, regression analysis, SAS programming, and SQL. Exercise discretion in deciding whether additional model runs are required, and determine if financial performance measures are reasonable. Review and finalize statistical model results. Advise Software Engineering on refinement of software and web services tools. Describe analysis results, interpret insights and discuss managerial implications with client directly. Perform complex mathematical formulations to solve large-scale business problems and conduct time-series analysis. Lead problem-solving for new clients and industry verticals by matching analytic solutions with client needs. Conduct data processing to prepare for marketing mix analysis, based on understanding of client needs for quantitative analysis of marketing effectiveness. Independently prepare deliverables and presentation decks to report results to clients. Plan and set up projects, including designing, coding or compiling reader programs that did not exist previously. Proactively identify new analytic opportunities, and present related proposals to help expand analytic footprint to the client. Directly supervise 1-2 Senior Analysts, and indirectly oversee (without supervisory authority) 1-2 Senior Analysts and Managers, including providing feedback on modeling progress and deliverables preparation by junior team members. Involves the opportunity to telecommute within the surrounding area, up to 1 day per week, as feasible.  Tools used include: SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

 

 

 

FOR THIS ROLE, WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE:

 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

 

Master’s degree in statistics, econometrics, mathematics, operations research, engineering (industrial, computer or electrical), or a related field (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus 2 years of experience in complex data modeling and statistical analysis using large and complex data (point-of-sale, customer-level and/or marketing data) (would also accept a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience). This must include 1 year of experience in/with: development and application of applied statistical and quantitative analysis and modeling; research design using statistical software, regression analysis, SAS programming, and SQL; performing mathematical formulations to solve business problems and conduct time-series analysis; reviewing SAS code to read, audit and review raw input data and create meaningful data transformations to normalize, align and scale data to address specifics of a client’s business; training, providing direction to and reviewing the work of junior analysts and project teams; managing clients and projects from initiation to implementation; and use of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
