Nielsen Expands Operations in Vadodara with the first MINOC “SuperHub” in the Country
The new Operations Centre to increase the total headcount of Nielsen in the city to 860 by January 2020
Vadodara- Nov. 28, 2019: Nielsen today inaugurated Malaysia India Nielsen Operations Centre (MINOC) – a Superhub located at Atladra, Vadodara. The new facility was inaugurated by HH Rajmata of Vadodara, Shubhangani Raje Gaekwad in presence of Martine Rooselaers, SVP – Global Operations Nielsen Global Connect, Punit Singh – Operations Head, APMEA Nielsen Global Connect and Prasun Basu, South Asia Zone President, Nielsen Global Connect. MINOC SuperHub marks the second facility for Nielsen in the city.
Nielsen’s new India based MINOC Superhub will comprise of end – to – end Operations, Production and Delivery hubs that take care of global operation execution for Retail Measurement Services and Consumer Panel Services. This facility will manage execution for markets in Canada, Africa, and the Middle East regions for Nielsen. Owing to the new facility, Nielsen aims to increase total employees in the city of Vadodara to 860 by early next year. MINOC SuperHub at Vadodara is just one among the three of its kinds globally for Nielsen (one each in Poland & Mexico) and will facilitate execution through one Global Platform – led by automated processes.
Martine Rooselaers, SVP – Global Operations Nielsen Global Connect said “India is one of the fastest-growing emerging economies of the world and has become a global destination for a talented resource pool. As one of India’s proposed ‘smart cities’ and its favorable conditions, Vadodara has emerged as a key location for building our Regional Operations Center. We are at the cusp of transformative change within Nielsen Connect and this center is going to play an extremely important part in it”. Martine further added, ”Operation Centers are an integral part of Nielsen’s Global strategy to move towards a product-led company supported by technology. These centers are bringing an end to end Operations process under one roof, standardizing them and then use the latest technologies to automate them. The NOC also acts as a global competence center for our critical business needs.
Speaking at the inauguration, HH Rajmata of Vadodara, Shubhangani Raje Gaekwad, said, “The city of Vadodara has been known for the quality of its education, and creates a strong talent pool of young people from diverse backgrounds. Commenting on the occasion, Punit Singh, Operations Head, APMEA, Nielsen Connect Operations, “The enterprise of the future will be built in proximity to the most critical resource – people with expertise and talent. Vadodara becomes a key centre in India and we are aiming to recruit from the wide array of young talent from universities in the state. The hub has state of the art facilities that cater to the needs of the younger generation workforce”. He added, “We have hired 350 young talent in the past twelve months in Vadodara and we are very optimistic about the future potential that these bring in defining the future of Nielsen Connect Operations in the region.
