Nielsen Malaysia Named Market Research Agency Of The Year

Nielsen Malaysia bagged the Gold award at Advertising + Marketing Magazine’s Agency of the Year Awards 2018

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 May 2018: Nielsen, a leading performance management company that provides a comprehensive understanding of what consumers Buy and Watch, was named Market Research Agency of the Year at the recent Agency of the Year Awards 2018 held at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur on 18 May 2018.

Pereda also said that the agency was able to enjoy healthy business growth despite challenging economic conditions, particularly by expanding its retail measurement business. Indeed, in 2017, Nielsen Malaysia’s retailer vertical grew 15% year-on-year, and the company’s retail data coverage broadened to include 10 new retailers, including retailers in East Malaysia.

On the media side, Nielsen Malaysia launched Nielsen Media Impact (NMI) in 2017, which brings together consumer behavior information across different media into one easy-to-use planning interface. This innovative product equips clients with granular and unduplicated insights about audiences across platforms and devices, in order to simulate media plans and achieve campaign goals.

Nielsen’s consumer insights business also continues to expand into key sectors, providing clients with tailor-made solutions that cover customer satisfaction, brand building, behavioral information, demographics and forecasting.

Pereda stressed that Nielsen’s comprehensive and multi-faceted end-to-end solutions set the company apart from other market research agencies in Malaysia, saying: “We have the unique ability to bring multiple sources of data together, be it media, retail or customized research data, which means that our clients spend less time connecting the dots and can focus their energies on using the insights to enhance their understanding of the consumers.”

The Agency of the Year Awards is organized by Advertising + Marketing magazine, a publication of Lighthouse Independent Media. This award ceremony is Malaysia’s premier programme to measure, reward and recognize the industry’s top-performing agencies. A panel of 16 high-caliber judges from reputable organizations such as Beiersdorf, Celcom Axiata Berhad, L’Oreal Malaysia, Pfizer Malaysia and Volkswagen Malaysia, assess finalists based on criteria that includes management excellence, talent development, outstanding business performance as well as the extent of the agency’s stewardship towards the industry and the community.
