Nancy Phillips is Nielsen’s Chief Human Resources Officer. She joined Nielsen in January 2017, and is responsible for Nielsen’s HR strategy, which is all about empowering our people to enable business success. In this role, Nancy will deliver world-class programs to create a positive Nielsen employee experience and build a culture where associates can be themselves, make a difference and grow with our organization. She leads Nielsen’s global HR team, overseeing talent engagement and development, training, compensation and benefits, and recruiting and retention.
Nancy joins Nielsen from Broadcom in southern California where she was Chief Human Resources Officer prior to its sale to Avago Technologies. Before joining Broadcom, she led the HR organization for Hewlett Packard’s Imaging and Printing Group as well as the Enterprise Services business group, a global organization with over 120,000 employees.
Prior to HP, Nancy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Fifth Third Bancorp, a diversified financial services company with $133 billion in assets. Earlier in her career, Nancy spent eleven years with the General Electric Company serving in a variety of HR leadership roles.
Nancy is active in a range of professional associations and in 2006, received a YWCA TWIN (Tribute to Women) award in Silicon Valley for her commitment to diversity. She is also a member of The Florida Bar beginning her career as an attorney.
Nancy earned a B.A. in English from the University of Delaware and a J.D. from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.
