Jason Brown is vice president, head of national sales for AT&T AdWorks, the advertising sales business unit for AT&T Advertising & Analytics. Jason is an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of developing emerging video networks using data driven solutions. His accomplishments include growing revenue for both established and startup organizations.
In his current role at AT&T, Jason oversees all revenue responsibilities, including growing national sales revenue, for the largest household-level addressable TV product in the industry. Under his leadership, growth for national sales has significantly outpaced the marketplace.
Jason dedicated the first decade of his career to launching and adopting emerging networks in the cable industry. During his tenure at Turner Broadcasting, NBC Cable and Discovery Networks, he successfully launched and scaled networks such as MSNBC, Discovery Health Channel and BBC America.
In the 10 years leading up to his current role, Jason created marketplaces for networks in the cinema and digital place-based media markets, which started with minimal revenue allocation.
As the EVP of National and Regional Sales for Screenvision, Jason led a team that grew the cinema industry from $120 million to $528 million in four years. According to the Veronis Suhler Forecast, cinema advertising was the fastest-growing ad category during his tenure.
After almost six years at Screenvision, Jason became president of sales and marketing at IdeaCast and helped grow the startup to the point where it was sold to Kleiner Perkins. While at IdeaCast, he played an instrumental role in building the largest back-of-the-seat TV ad network in the airline industry. Jason also worked with Nielsen to create the first-ever media currency that accounted for TV audience measurement outside the home.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is based in AT&T’s New York City office.
