Lia Silkworth is Senior Vice President of Insights and Consumer Development for Telemundo. In her role, she develops and leads the programming and consumer research departments for Telemundo Network, NBC UNIVERSO and its digital properties. Lia is responsible for synthesizing insights from quantitative and qualitative data in order to provide expert guidance on brand performance, multi-platform viewing and other key business goals. In addition, she is charged with the development of progressive research strategies to advance the long range business vision and strategy of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
A seasoned media expert, Lia was previously Executive Vice President, Managing Director for Publicis Media (formerly Starcom Mediavest Group), where she led the agency’s largest transformation and defined its path to ensure the No. 1 U.S. multicultural media agency position. Prior to that role, she served as Senior Vice President, Group & Investment Director at Publicis Media, where she spearheaded investment across the multicultural division and managed the execution of strategic direction, business opportunity analysis and media tactics. During her career, Lia has led strategic planning and investment duties for clients including Sprint, Samsung, Kraft, Miller Brewing Co., Allstate, Burger King, Kellogg's, McDonald's, Procter & Gamble, Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Studios and General Motors.
Lia graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising. She resides in Miami with her husband and two children.
