Job Description

We are seeking a Treasury Analyst to join Nielsen Connect’s Treasury team. The analyst will support the management of Connect’s global insurance program (13 different insurance policies) and help provide oversight of ~30 defined benefit plans throughout the world.  This position will interact and have exposure to Connect’s insurance brokers, insurers, company actuaries, and local pension committees.  Internally, the position will liaise with the corporate reporting group, various members of the HR benefits team, and local Connect finance teams around the world as appropriate.  


  • Assist with the annual renewal of the company’s various insurance policies, including analyzing and tracking premium quotes, deductibles & coverage levels and comparing & contrasting proposals

  • Maintain an up to date overview of Connect’s global insurance programs by policy type

  • Help coordinate and assist in the preparation of any company presentations made by senior management to the insurance markets 

  • Assist in the development of Connect’s annual insurance budget, and track actuals vs. plan variances

  • Handle requests for certificates of insurance

  • Assist with insurance claims management 

  • Assist with the development of any insurance broker RFP’s

  • Organize, maintain, track and consolidate the investment management performance for each of the funded defined benefit plans

  • Track monthly, quarterly and YTD company funding contributions into the defined benefit plans and liaise with Connect’s Free Cash Flow team

  • Maintain and track the trustee, investment manager and plan actuary rosters for the various defined benefit plans  

  • Assist in the preparation of any insurance or pension reports or analyses for senior management or the board, including reports to the Audit Committee or Global Retirement Plan Review Committee 

  • Support the preparation of the annual budgets for the defined benefit plans

  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in a Corporate Treasury environment

  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter, quick learner, and flexible team player

  • Outstanding attention to detail and eagerness to learn and take on new initiatives

  • Background or knowledge of insurance or pensions not a prerequisite 

  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel and/or Google Sheets skills

  • Proficient in MS Word & PPT and/or Google Docs & Slides 

  • Strong desire for continuous improvement and drive to execute changes 

  • Passion for technology: Has a comfort and passion for learning and working with new technology. Intermediate proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites, expected to reach advanced over time
