Nearly 21 Million Viewers Watch One World: Together at Home Concert

New York — April 20, 2020 — An estimated 20.7 million people tuned in to watch the One World: Together at Home concert across multiple networks on Saturday, April 18, 2020. With the world currently experiencing a pandemic due to COVID-19, the concert, organized by Global Citizen, aimed to celebrate frontline health care workers and support social distancing measures as well as the World Health Organization.
The concert was aired live by 26 networks from approximately 8 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET and tape-delayed on four others.
In terms of the social nature of the special, there were 4.9 million total interactions across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter about One World: Together at Home on April 18, 2020. The program was the most social telecast across television on its airing date and the most social TV special through March and April to date. A majority (83%) of total owned engagement was generated by talent accounts, with the most engaging talent account associated with the special being Lady Gaga followed by Priyanka Chopra.
