Nielsen TV: A New Unofficial Start to Holiday Shopping
The race to start shopping for the year-end holidays always seems to start just a little earlier with each passing year. This year, 40% of Americans said they had started their shopping by the end of October. In fact, James Russo, SVP of consumer insights, says the new unofficial start to the holiday selling season is the day after Halloween.
