We’re excited to announce the launch of our new podcast, “The Database.” Data drives everything we do here at Nielsen, and as it’s name implies, data will play a foundational role in our new podcast.
During the first season, The Database will cover a range of topics from retail spending trends to health and wellness to the impact technology is having on our media consumption habits. Each episode will explore a popular trend or topic using Nielsen data, insights and research. Experts across industries will share their insights into the data and why it matters, bringing our data to life.
At Nielsen, we have a wealth of research across a variety of industries—from how people shop and what media they consume to marketing best practices and the potential for new technologies, as well as much more. And while these data and insights play a key role in helping our clients drive their businesses forward, they also have a broad appeal.
Nielsen’s own research shows that podcasts are growing in popularity. In fact, more than half of U.S. households are home to podcast fans—that’s more than 60 million homes. The Database will be a new digital venue to engage with an increasingly digital audience, particularly those who enjoy hearing rather than reading. This podcast will help us engage new audiences and reinvigorate those who already know Nielsen well.
