Terrie Brennan is Executive Vice President and General Manager of Nielsen’s Advertiser Solutions organization. In this role, Terrie works with leading Advertisers across the Technology, Telecom, Retail and Financial Services industries. In addition Terrie is responsible for providing solutions to Nielsen’s TV & Digital Networks, Sports Leagues and Teams, Non-Traditional clients, and Digital Placed Based Networks. Terrie is also the Client Business Partner for Advertising Agencies. Terrie works with Agency leaders to provide insights, expertise and solutions for their clients.
Prior to this role, Terrie was Senior Vice President of New Business Development and Strategy, responsible for Expanded Services, a growth unit of Nielsen with the objective to launch and grow highly profitable businesses. In that role, Terrie was responsible for strategic planning, product planning, sales, and client service.
Before that, Terrie was Senior Vice President of New Millennium, a business unit focused on delivering a media management and buying system for National advertising agencies. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, product planning, sales and marketing, software design and development, quality assurance, customer service and data delivery.
Terrie began her career with Nielsen in 1979 as Research Analyst for Nielsen Station Index (NSI). In 1981, she became Manager of NSI’s Analysis Information Department, and in 1982, she moved into NSI Marketing as a Client Service Executive for regional agencies in the Northeast region. A year later, Terrie transferred to the Service Department, where she worked on the development and marketing of PC systems for local stations and advertising agencies. In 1987, Terrie was promoted to Vice President of Service Development and became more involved in the product management of systems for Nielsen’s National and Local clients. Five years later, she advanced to the head of Service Development and Information Services. In that capacity, Terrie was responsible for the product management and customer support for all software customer products under NSI, Nielsen Television Index (NTI) and Nielsen Syndication Service (NSS). In 1997, Terrie was appointed team leader for the New Millennium platform team.
Terrie has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Baruch College.
