He was appointed to this role in August 2006.</p>n<p>Prior to joining Nielsen, David served as Vice Chairman of The General Electric Co. and President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Infrastructure, the largest of six GE business units. Under Davidu2019s leadership, this business annually contributed more than $47 billion in revenues and $9 billion in profits to the company, driven by a team of over 120,000 employees around the world.</p>n<p>During his 26-year career with General Electric, David served as President and Chief Executive Officer of multiple business units, including GE Lighting, GE Employers Reinsurance Co., GE Aircraft Engines, GE Transportation (Aircraft and Rail) and ultimately GE Infrastructure. </p>n<p>Earlier in his career at General Electric, David held a wide range of operating, finance, and marketing roles across the corporate team as well as within GE Plastics and GE Capital. David joined GE after graduating from Virginia Tech in 1979.</p>n<p>David is the co-author of a book with Rick Kash titled <a href=”http://www.howcompanieswin.com/”>How Companies Win</a>. Chief Commercial Officer, Nielsen Global Media

Seit Januar ist Megan Clarken Nielsens Chief Commercial Officer für Nielsen Global Media und leitet die Global Media Vertriebsteams.

Seit dem Eintritt bei Nielsen im Jahr 2004 hat Megan zahlreiche weltweite Führungspositionen begleitet. Zuletzt war sie als President, Watch tätig. Zuvor leitete sie als President Product Leadership das globale Team für die Produktstrategie, die Entwicklung und das Management von Nielsens führenden Messprodukten für Fernsehen, digitale und plattformübergreifende Inhalte und Werbung. Sie hat maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, unsere Total Audience Initiative umzusetzen, die darauf abzielt, die Total Audience von Inhalten und Anzeigen über alle Bildschirme zu analysieren und gleichwertige Metriken für Digital und Video bereitzustellen.

Megans bisherige Rollen bei Nielsen sind Geschäftsführer der Media Client Services im asiatisch-pazifischen Raum, im Mittleren Osten und in Afrika und Managing Director von Nielsens Digital Business in der asiatisch-pazifischen Region. Sie hatte außerdem leitende Rollen inne, in denen sie das digitale Analytics-Produktportfolio des Unternehmens managte.

Vor Nielsen war sie in leitenden Positionen bei großen Verlagen und Online-Technologieanbietern, darunter Akamai Technologies und Ninemsn in Australien.

Ursprünglich aus Neuseeland lebt sie derzeit in New York.
