Jacqueline Nyanjom currently serves as the head of Nielsen’s commercial operations in East Africa leading the team responsible for all client service, strategy and operational execution across 22 East and Central African markets. With more than 15 years’ experience, she brings a deep understanding of African marketplace dynamics across fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail industries.
Since joining Nielsen in 2007, Ms. Nyanjom has held numerous leadership positions within the company, most recently as the lead across Sub-Saharan Africa for Nielsen’s relationships with The Coca-Cola Company and Diageo. Additionally, she led client service operations for Nielsen in Central Africa, as well as senior roles within Nielsen’s Retail Measurement Services business. Prior to Nielsen, Ms. Nyanjom held market research roles with Sameer Africa and Research International.
She speaks fluent English and Kiswahili, as well as one local Kenyan Language. Ms. Nyanjom holds a Masters from Essex University, UK and completed her undergraduate degree with honors from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology, in addition to post-graduate accreditations in project management and marketing.
