Roosevelt D’Souza is Senior Vice President for Nielsen India Region and leads the company’s Consumerization Practice Area and the Consumer Insights business. He is also the Global Client Business Partner (CBP) for the TATA Group. In this role, Roosevelt has been instrumental in successfully leading the Nielsen-TATA engagement by creating winning strategies and building a strong brand presence amongst their leaders and the insight teams.
Prior to this, he led the company’s Retail Measurement Services (RMS) across India, overseeing the client service function. During his time in this role he launched transformative servicing initiatives to create consumer and trade intelligence that offers leading Indian and multinational organizations an unparalleled view of their markets.
Before this, he led key Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects for Nielsen’s Customized Research business across India to create a successful framework for world-class standards of quality, speed, and efficiency. An accomplished expert in Customer Satisfaction and Experience, Roosevelt also led this discipline for the markets of Asia Pacific, India, Middle-east and Africa during this period.
A strong advocate for a deeper understanding of clients’ business issues, he has worked with global organizations like J.D. Power to conceptualize and implement some of India’s largest automotive studies. His experience spans a variety of methodologies and mission critical projects for some of the world’s largest corporations who have turned to him to help shape their market and customer strategies for India over the last two decades.
Before joining Nielsen, Roosevelt was part of Dun & Bradstreet MRAS’ Industrial Market Research unit, working across industries such as heavy engineering, packaging and industrial goods where he gained expertise in market sizing and estimation techniques.
Roosevelt began his career with SAMIR, Mudra’s research unit and is an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer by qualification.
