– Stuff is New Zealand’s top news site by average unique audience
Auckland, New Zealand, 21 August 2018: Nielsen has released to market the July 2018 Top New Zealand local news sites, not including broadcast media.
Stuff was the top news site in terms of highest unique audience (2.1 million), followed by nzherald.co.nz (1.7 million).
Nielsen’s unique audience metric provides a de-duplicated view of actual audience across devices.
For websites with smaller audiences, where sample size can be an issue, a good secondary metric for understanding visitation is average daily unique browsers.
N.B: When looking at average unique browsers, it should be noted that even at a daily level, this metric can be inflated by multiple device and browser usage and cookie deletion.
