As a global leader shaping the future of media, Nielsen is committed to operational integrity, compliance with laws, and ethical conduct. These standards guide our leadership, policies and reporting.

Leadership & governance
Our executives lead with a shared vision to achieve our goals and guide our company. Effective corporate governance is at the heart of how we operate. It guides our decision-making and ensures we act with integrity.

Integrity
Our core values guide everything we do, and our values are built on integrity. Our Code of Conduct provides a clear framework for how we operate. We are deeply committed to integrity in the workplace, marketplace, and the global community.

Public reporting
Our historic public company filings are an important part of transparency and accountability. As an ongoing commitment to transparency, we have provided and archive of historic public company filings, covering the period up until our privatization in October 2022.
Leadership & governance
Nielsen’s leadership and governance framework work together to guide Nielsen’s strategic direction, operational integrity and ethical conduct. The framework is designed to foster a culture of transparency, promote stakeholder interests and ultimately drive Nielsen toward achieving its mission and long-term goals.

We are committed to honesty, respect and fairness in our interactions—with our clients, partners, stakeholders and within our own workplace. These core values guide our decisions and actions, ensuring we operate responsibly, comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and build trust in the data and insights we provide. Our commitment to ethical conduct is the bedrock of our success and our promise to the markets we serve.
“Integrity is not just a principle at Nielsen; it’s the very foundation of our credibility and the trust placed in our data. In a world driven by information, our integrity is our most valuable asset, safeguarding our reputation and empowering our clients to make confident decisions.”
Lauren Connell,
Global Head of Risk, Compliance, & Integrity and Corporate Secretary
Integrity is the bedrock of Nielsen’s operations, essential to our people, our trusted reputation, our valued clients, and the communities where we live and work. We encourage anyone with knowledge of potential wrongdoing—be it illegal, unethical, or a violation of our standards—to come forward. You can report concerns or seek guidance by using the information set forth in our Code of Conduct. Our helpline enables individuals to report concerns anonymously, to the extent permitted by law.
Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct defines who we are and how we do business. Through our Code, employees learn and understand the legal and ethical responsibilities that apply to their jobs, which include upholding their commitment to each other to do what is right and report and correct what is not.
Code of Conduct Highlights
- Anti-corruption: Nielsen strictly prohibits all forms of bribery in every aspect of its operations, regardless of location or interaction. This prohibition applies to dealings with both private clients and government or public officials. It extends to Nielsen employees acting directly and to third parties representing Nielsen.
- Trade sanctions: As a global company, we move information, technology, people, products and services across national borders. International trade laws apply to our activities, including laws that prohibit certain business activities with and within certain countries, as well as with particular persons or entities that are deemed a threat to security, human dignity and human rights. We are committed to following applicable international trade laws, including import and export controls regulations.
- Conflicts of interest: It is imperative to report any potential conflict of interest. Nielsen employees must act in Nielsen’s best interest while performing their work and ensure that relationships with vendors and pursuits outside of work do not interfere with the ability to make the right decisions for Nielsen or undermine Nielsen’s independence. Should any concern arise, you can report concerns or seek guidance by using the information set forth in our Code of Conduct.
