New Multi-Year Agreement Extends Nielsen’s Role as Leading Provider of Data for Billboard’s Top Music Charts Expanded Relationship Includes Co-Development Initiatives

New York – Nov. 4, 2014 – Nielsen and Billboard today announced a new, multi-year extension of their current agreement for Nielsen to be the leading provider of music consumption data for Billboard’s top music charts, the most authoritative measure of success in the music industry. This agreement extends the long-standing relationship between the two companies, which dates back nearly 25 years.

The announcement also expands the relationship to include the co-development of innovative new initiatives and enhancements for the music industry in order to better measure and analyze market trends.
