Mark Thompson, star of “Mark In The Morning” on Entercom’s 100.3 The Sound in Los Angeles, has been working in radio for 45 years and hosting morning radio for 35. After a 25-year run on the top-rated “Mark & Brian” program on KLOS/LA in August of 2012, Mark began “M and L Studios,” a successful podcasting business with his wife Lynda. He returned to the airwaves in February 2015 at The Sound and ratings quickly followed. Mark has received the NAB Marconi Award, and was named “Air Personality of the Year” by Billboard Magazine twice. He also won an Emmy Award for co-hosting the Andy Griffith Christmas Special for Fox TV, and has a “Star” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mark was part of NBC’s fall schedule in 1991, starring in “The Adventures of Mark and Brian.” He has appeared in numerous other television shows, including “Reba,” “Cheers,” “MAD TV,” Wings” “Quantum Leap,” “The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr.,” “Ned and Stacey” and “Dharma and Greg.” His feature film work includes appearances in “Rocky V,” “Escape from LA“ “Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday” and “The Princess Diaries.” He has also written and starred in two independent films.
